One Bread, One Body
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a time to adore, love, and pray with our dear Lord exposed in the monstrance on the altar of the chapel. To keep company with the Lord helps to grow spiritually.
Parishioners are encouraged to make use of this opportunity to spend time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. There is no rule as to when or how long. However, the chapel is never to be unoccupied while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, hence there is a schedule of volunteers. (See below).
Many churches in our diocese have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
To ensure there always is someone in the chapel Monday through Friday 9 am to 1 pm, a weekly signup schedule is posted in the vestibule or can be viewed here. If one volunteers to adore the Blessed Sacrament at a specified hour on a particular day, one is expected to be responsible for that time weekly. Names and phone numbers of people who could substitute once in a while, when the designated volunteer cannot make it, are also needed.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has as its reward grace, peace of mind, awareness of God’s presence, faith and trust that become a part of your every day life.
Monday through Friday, anytime between 9 am and 1 pm. in the Chapel. On First Fridays Adoration ends at 1 pm.
