The Coronavirus outbreak is something new for all of us. The measures taken to stop it are quite strict but necessary. We should not fear; we are going to win this battle by complying with the measures and dispositions taken and by facing this challenge with faith and humility. Let’s not forget the promise that our Lord Jesus Christ made to be with us always. He said: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Cf. Mt. 28:20) Let’s recall Psalm 23: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Cf. Psalm 23:4). Let’s not panic; panic could be more lethal than the virus itself. God has always been with us and He is not going to forsake us ever. Let’s face this challenge together as a community; even though we cannot congregate we can still remain united as a community by praying for one another from our homes. May Almighty God, giver of life and source of salvation bless you all, keep you safe and grant you peace. In Christ, Fr. Hernando Gomez Pastor
