Children preparing for sacraments must attend classes regularly for two consecutive years. All students must have a basic knowledge of the Catholic Faith appropriate for their age level, which is taught in the first year. Preparation for first Confession and first Communion is taught in the second year of instruction.
Mandatory parent meetings are scheduled to equip parents to participate actively in their child’s sacramental preparation. Attendance at the Communion Retreat is required for students in their second year.
Regular attendance is expected for those children preparing for their Sacraments. No more than 3 absences are allowed. In the case of an absence, there will most likely be homework assigned or a required make-up class. If there is a health situation that requires consultation with the Director, please schedule an appointment to discuss it.
The following documents and links are provided for your use. Some are meant as educational tools for yourself. Others are meant to be shared for discussion with your child. May you find them helpful and inspiring. Enjoy!
