We are grateful to the following people: Harry A. Soto, who started the Religious Articles counter under Msgr. Hayes back in the early 1930’s. Later he got help from Lella McKenzie and eventually had to step down due to ill health. Since 1983 Tillie German has been taking care of the Religious Gift counter, with help from others, until in 2002 her health no longer permitted her to perform these duties. In 2003 Dorothy Nattrass felt a clear calling from God to head up this project, and the parish is glad that she was obedient. During the stewardship of Dorothy, the counter expanded to a shop with an increase in religious items. Maria Allen heard the call and assumed the helm in 2011. She, with the assistance of many angels, helped to keep the shop going until 2016 when she turned the reigns over to Guadalupe Medrano.
