With the COVID restrictions and precautions keeping many people indoors, you are invited to join other parishioners as they pray. The Rosary is recited by many in the comfort of their home at 8:00 am each morning then the Divine Mercy Chaplet is recited by many at 3:00 pm. Join in communion with fellow parishioners during this difficult time in offering praise and glory to our Lord through prayer.
The St. Patrick Ladies' Society is now accepting applications from graduating high school seniors in the parish ( St. Patrick and St. James churches) for six, $1500.00 scholarships. Applicants must have been active members of the parish for one year and have maintained a “B” average or better. They need to have shown an interest in church, school, and community affairs. Scholarships may be used for expenses in a community or a 4 year college or a vocational training program. The completed applications are due in the parish office by March 15, 2021.
Please note that beginning today, January 2, 2021, the time for distribution on Saturdays have been adjusted from 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm to the conclusion time of 5:15 pm. All the distribution times on Sunday remain the same. A friendly reminder is that you can watch Mass on Saturday and receive on Sunday should this prove to be more prudent for you. Feel free to contact the office with any questions. Happy New Year and may God bless you all!
It is with regret that the Clothes Closet will be closed until January 4, at least. The recent increase in restrictions have made it necessary to close. Please monitor the website for updates. During the closure, collections will be suspended. Please contact the office with questions at 530.622.0373.
For now, the Church remains closed for prayer. With the Health Department's institution of this restriction, we, at St. Patrick, will NOT be able to open the church for prayer as originally published at the institution of the purple tier. Stay tuned for upcoming changes!
This week we were fortunate to have Brian Smith, our Deacon in training, give us a reflection titled How may God move and work in our lives during Advent? Click the title for the words to contemplate.
If anyone is interested in being a godparent or sponsor for our RCIA members, please contact Brian Smith at bsmith@stpatpv.org or (530)306-5701 Thanks!
The office remains open as does the Clothes Closet. Please click the title for MUCH more information regarding the weekend procedures for receiving Confession and the Holy Eucharist.
Yes, it is open, for the time being. The guidelines of wearing your mask, keeping six feet apart and no more than 4 people in the room with the other guidelines are being met. We will keep you posted with any changes so for now we are able to serve those in the community who are some of the neediest people in the area. Pray for one another and for us to continue to serve others.
Sadly we are now in the purple tier ... what that means for us? Any events in the Church need to be for 10 people or under. Therefore daily Mass has been suspended for the time being. Confessions will continue to take place on Saturday with Fr Hernando being available in the vestibule (entry area) at 3:00 pm. The details for the weekend schedule are being worked out and will be posted later in the week. Stay posted for more information to come!
