Special Help and Relief in Emergency

The SHARE Ministry was formed to reach out and help the less fortunate, remembering what Christ would do in the same situation. Several churches in El Dorado County have joined together to donate their time to work at SHARE. Supermarkets, the Food Bank of El Dorado County, and private individuals donate food and financial assistance, as do all the churches.

This ministry welcomes people who feel called to help the needy. When you join, you will be scheduled once a month, or more often if you wish, to help sort and distribute the donated food. You will be working together with other volunteers in the SHARE Food Closet located at the Federated Church.

All parishioners are encouraged to give generous donations of non-perishable food, and to put them in the large wooden box in the vestibule. Financial assistance is also very much needed. Please mail to the address below.

The Food Closet is located in the basement of the Federated Church on Thompson Way in Placerville and is open Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. It is closed on holidays.
